Danny’s Loudest Cheer in the Stadium
Danny is going to a real stadium for the very first time!
Today was a very special day. Bear the bear was taking Danny to the big stadium to watch a real football match!
Danny wore his teal scarf and cap. ‘Ready?’ asked Bear. ‘Ready!’ said Danny. They hopped on the bus, and off they went.
The stadium was HUGE. There were flags, drums and thousands of happy people. ‘Wow,’ whispered Danny. His eyes were as round as footballs.
They found their seats and shared a hot, buttery pretzel. Down below, the players ran out onto the bright green grass. Everybody jumped up and CHEERED!
The ball zoomed this way. The ball zoomed that way. Danny cheered so loudly that his voice went all squeaky. ‘GO, GO, GO!’
Then the whole crowd went quiet. A player took a shot... And the ball flew into the net! GOAL! Danny hugged Bear so tightly.
On the bus home, Danny got sleepier and sleepier. ‘Best day ever,’ he yawned, snuggled up against Bear, and dreamed of goals.
