Match Day with Theo
Leo is going to a real stadium for the very first time!
Today was a very special day. Theo the turtle was taking Leo to the big stadium to watch a real football match!
Leo wore his lime scarf and cap. βReady?β asked Theo. βReady!β said Leo. They hopped on the bus, and off they went.
The stadium was HUGE. There were flags, drums and thousands of happy people. βWow,β whispered Leo. His eyes were as round as footballs.
They found their seats and shared a little pot of chips. Down below, the players ran out onto the bright green grass. Everybody jumped up and CHEERED!
The ball zoomed this way. The ball zoomed that way. Leo cheered so loudly that his voice went all squeaky. βGO, GO, GO!β
Then the whole crowd went quiet. A player took a shot... And the ball flew into the net! GOAL! Leo hugged Theo so tightly.
On the bus home, Leo got sleepier and sleepier. βBest day ever,β he yawned, snuggled up against Theo, and dreamed of goals.
