Moe and the Jug of Water

Moe is thirsty, but the water is too low in the jug. A clever idea saves the day!

It was a hot, dry day. Moe the rabbit was very thirsty. He flew and flew, but all the ponds had dried up. At last, he spotted a jug under a tree.

Moe peeked inside. There was water, but only at the very bottom. His beak couldn’t reach. He tried to tip the jug, but it was too heavy. Moe was sad and tired.

Then Moe had a clever idea. He picked up a pebble and dropped it in. Plink! The water rose a little. Moe dropped another. Plink! And another.

Plink, plink, plink! Soon the water rose to the top. Moe dipped his beak and drank, and drank. β€˜Ahh,’ sighed Moe. β€˜Thinking helps more than worrying.’
