Otto, the Smallest Superhero

All the big superheroes are too big to fit. But Otto is just the right size!

In Superhero City, there were many heroes. Cosmo the cow was super strong. Hana the hippo could run super fast. And Otto the rabbit? Otto was very, very small.

‘You can’t be a superhero,’ said the others, kindly. ‘You’re too tiny.’ Otto put on his cape. ‘I will be the best tiny hero ever!’ he said. His cape was a bit too big, and it dragged on the ground.

One morning, the alarm bell rang. DING-DONG! A lost button was caught behind a clock. ‘Quick!’ said Cosmo. Cosmo tried to squeeze in, but he was too big. Hana tried to reach in, but her arm was too short.

‘Let me try,’ said Otto. He puffed up his chest. He stood up straight. And he crept behind the clock and pushed the button out. It was a tight squeeze, but Otto did it!

Everybody cheered. ‘We couldn’t do that!’ said Cosmo. ‘Thank you, Otto!’ Hana lifted Otto on her shoulders. ‘We need you,’ said Hana. ‘You’re the only one who can fit.’

That evening, Otto sat on a rooftop looking at the glowing city. He smiled. Some days it’s good to be strong. Some days it’s good to be fast. And some days, it’s good to be small.
