Where Is Omar?
Omar the octopus is the best hider in the sea. Can anybody find him?
Omar the octopus could do a clever trick. He could change colour to match anything! Today, he wanted to play hide-and-seek with Tara and Freya.
βOne, two, three, four, five,β counted Tara, covering his eyes. Omar wriggled away through the water. He swam to the green seaweed. And he turned green! His arms and body blended in.
Tara opened his eyes. βReady or not, here I come!β Tara swam over the sandy bed. βAre you under this shell? No.β Tara looked behind the rock. βNo.β Tara looked inside a bottle. βNo.β
Freya looked up and down. βWhere could Omar be?β Freya wondered. They looked all over the sea. Nothing. They looked a second time. Nothing. They were completely stumped.
Then Tara giggled. βI can see two eyes!β Two big eyes were peeking out from the green seaweed, and they were blinking. Omar burst out laughing, turned back to normal, and everyone cheered.
βYour turn to hide!β said Omar. And so they played again and again, until the water grew dark. They went home with tired fins and happy hearts, and all dreamed of colourful sea games.
