Isla’s Giant Sneeze
Isla has a tickly nose. When the sneeze finally comes, it’s the biggest sneeze ever!
Isla the raccoon was walking through the meadow when a bit of pepper floated right under her nose. Tickle, tickle, tickle. Isla’s nose twitched. ‘Oh no,’ she said.
‘A... A... A...’ said Isla. Hana the hedgehog and Louie the lamb looked up. ‘A... A... A...’ said Isla, wobbling. ‘Is Isla going to sneeze?’ whispered Hana.
‘A... A... A... CHOOOOO!’ It was the biggest sneeze in the world. It was so big that all the kites in the meadow flew up into the air! WHOOSH!
Hana was blown backwards. Louie spun in a circle like a top. Isla was blown the other way, and landed on her bottom in a muddy puddle. ‘Oof!’ said Isla.
There was a silence. Then Hana started to giggle. Then Louie giggled. Soon all three were rolling on the grass, laughing so hard that their tummies hurt.
‘Bless you!’ said Hana. Isla grinned. She wiped her nose and looked at the kites, fluttering down everywhere. ‘That,’ she said, ‘was the best sneeze ever.’
