In the jungle, everyone had a big voice. Elsa the elephant could roar. Ollie the tiger could screech. But Rocco the rabbit could only make a tweet.
‘Speak up!’ said everyone. Rocco tried and tried, but only a tweet came out. Rocco felt sad. ‘I wish I had a big voice,’ he said. Elsa gave Rocco a hug. ‘You are perfect as you are,’ she said.
That night, a storm rolled in. Thunder boomed and rain poured. Baby Ollie was lost in the thick leaves. All the big voices called, but the thunder drowned them out.
Rocco listened. Between thunder claps, he heard a faint cry. It was high and thin, the kind of sound that big voices couldn’t hear. Rocco called back with a tweet. And Ollie heard it.
Following the tiny sound, Ollie found the way home. Everyone cheered. ‘Only Rocco could make a sound that carries through the storm!’ said Elsa. Rocco grinned.
