Super Harvey Saves the Day
All the big superheroes are too big to fit. But Harvey is just the right size!
In Superhero City, there were many heroes. Zoe the zebra was super strong. Percy the puppy could run super fast. And Harvey the frog? Harvey was very, very small.
‘You can’t be a superhero,’ said the others, kindly. ‘You’re too tiny.’ Harvey put on his cape. ‘I will be the best tiny hero ever!’ he said. His cape was a bit too big, and it dragged on the ground.
One morning, the alarm bell rang. DING-DONG! The town key had dropped through a grate. ‘Quick!’ said Zoe. Zoe tried to squeeze in, but she was too big. Percy tried to reach in, but his arm was too short.
‘Let me try,’ said Harvey. He puffed up his chest. He stood up straight. And he slid through the gap in the grate and fetched the key. It was a tight squeeze, but Harvey did it!
Everybody cheered. ‘We couldn’t do that!’ said Zoe. ‘Thank you, Harvey!’ Percy lifted Harvey on his shoulders. ‘We need you,’ said Percy. ‘You’re the only one who can fit.’
That evening, Harvey sat on a rooftop looking at the glowing city. He smiled. Some days it’s good to be strong. Some days it’s good to be fast. And some days, it’s good to be small.
