The Colourful Bazaar of Milo
Milo gets lost in a busy market, but kind strangers help him find the way.
The market was full of colours and noise. Red spices, golden scarves and baskets of fruit were piled high. Milo was holding Noah’s hand, but a crowd swept between them, and suddenly Milo was alone.
Milo turned round and round. Everything looked the same. His eyes filled with tears. Then Ella the owl leaned over a stall. ‘Are you lost, little one?’ she asked in a soft voice.
‘I can’t find my friend,’ sniffed Milo. Ella gave him warm bread. ‘Eat that,’ she said, ‘and we’ll find them together.’ She rang a bell and called to the other sellers.
Word spread from stall to stall. Zara the lion ran ahead to look. A merchant lifted Milo onto a crate so he could see over the crowd. And there was Noah, searching just as hard!
They threw their arms round each other. ‘I was so scared!’ said Noah. ‘Me too,’ said Milo. They thanked everyone. And from that day on, they always held hands in busy places.
