Bear Flips a Pancake
Bear tries to flip a pancake, and it lands in a very surprising place.
It was Pancake Day. Bear mixed flour, eggs and milk in a big bowl. Tara the giraffe stirred. The batter was smooth and creamy. ‘Time to cook!’ said Bear.
Bear poured batter into the pan. Sizzle! It turned golden. ‘Now for the flip,’ he said proudly. He gave the pan a big toss. WHOOSH! The pancake flew up, up, up.
And it landed on top of the cat! Splat! Tara stared. Bear stared. Then they both burst out laughing. ‘Try again!’ said Tara. This time, Bear flipped it just right.
Soon there was a tall stack of pancakes. They added sweet syrup, juicy strawberries and a big blob of cream. ‘Perfect,’ sighed Bear. And that was the last thing either of them said for a long, delicious while.
