Freddie Flips a Pancake
Freddie tries to flip a pancake, and it lands in a very surprising place.
It was Pancake Day. Freddie mixed flour, eggs and milk in a big bowl. Finn the frog stirred. The batter was smooth and creamy. ‘Time to cook!’ said Freddie.
Freddie poured batter into the pan. Sizzle! It turned golden. ‘Now for the flip,’ he said proudly. He gave the pan a big toss. WHOOSH! The pancake flew up, up, up.
And it landed on the dog! Splat! Finn stared. Freddie stared. Then they both burst out laughing. ‘Try again!’ said Finn. This time, Freddie flipped it just right.
Soon there was a tall stack of pancakes. They added sweet syrup, juicy strawberries and a big blob of cream. ‘Perfect,’ sighed Freddie. And that was the last thing either of them said for a long, delicious while.
