Bruno the bear packed a picnic basket full of orange slices and a flask of fizzy juice. ‘The moon is the perfect place for a picnic,’ he said, and zoomed up in the rocket.
On the moon, Bruno met Alba the alien, a friendly alien, and Ravi the robot. ‘We love picnics!’ said Alba. They spread a blanket on the grey, dusty ground.
But as soon as Bruno unpacked the orange slices, they floated away! Up they went, one by one, drifting like little balloons. ‘Catch them!’ shouted Bruno.
Bruno jumped to catch one and flew ten metres in the air. Alba bounced after them and ended up upside down. Ravi did a somersault, beeped and landed in a crater.
Then the fizzy juice popped open, and a big blob of juice floated into the air like a wobbly orange moon. Everyone burst out laughing. They lay on their backs and tried to catch it in their mouths.
After a while, the picnic was all eaten, or at least caught. Bruno had juice on his helmet and crumbs in his suit. ‘Best picnic ever,’ he sighed. ‘Same time next week?’ said Alba.
The little lesson
