Chuff, Chuff, Chuff! Itβs Suki
A little train has to climb a big hill, and says, βI think I can!β
Suki the squirrel was a little blue train. She carried boxes of cakes to the children on the other side of the mountain. But between the town and the children stood a very big hill.
Bigger trains had said, βToo steep!β and rolled away. Suki looked at the hill. It was tall and green. Suki puffed out her chest. βI think I can,β she said. βI think I can.β
Chuff, chuff, chuff, up the slope went Suki. Chuff, chuff, chuff. Halfway up, Suki felt very tired. But she kept saying, βI think I can, I think I can.β Tomas cheered beside the track.
At the top, Suki took a big breath. βI thought I could!β she said. Then down the other side she went, whoosh! The children were waiting, waving and cheering.
They unloaded the boxes of cakes, and the children gave Suki a big hug. βThank you, little train!β they cried. And Suki puffed home that evening, singing βI knew I could!β
