Otto’s Giant Sneeze
Otto has a tickly nose. When the sneeze finally comes, it’s the biggest sneeze ever!
Otto the owl was walking through the meadow when a fluffy dandelion floated right under his nose. Tickle, tickle, tickle. Otto’s nose twitched. ‘Oh no,’ he said.
‘A... A... A...’ said Otto. Sam the squirrel and Pearl the panda looked up. ‘A... A... A...’ said Otto, wobbling. ‘Is Otto going to sneeze?’ whispered Sam.
‘A... A... A... CHOOOOO!’ It was the biggest sneeze in the world. It was so big that all the picnic plates in the meadow flew up into the air! WHOOSH!
Sam was blown backwards. Pearl spun in a circle like a top. Otto was blown the other way, and landed on his bottom in a muddy puddle. ‘Oof!’ said Otto.
There was a silence. Then Sam started to giggle. Then Pearl giggled. Soon all three were rolling on the grass, laughing so hard that their tummies hurt.
‘Bless you!’ said Sam. Otto grinned. He wiped his nose and looked at the picnic plates, fluttering down everywhere. ‘That,’ he said, ‘was the best sneeze ever.’
