Mia Flips a Pancake

Mia tries to flip a pancake, and it lands in a very surprising place.

It was Pancake Day. Mia mixed flour, eggs and milk in a big bowl. Max the bear stirred. The batter was smooth and creamy. β€˜Time to cook!’ said Mia.

Mia poured batter into the pan. Sizzle! It turned golden. β€˜Now for the flip,’ she said proudly. She gave the pan a big toss. WHOOSH! The pancake flew up, up, up.

And it landed on the window! Splat! Max stared. Mia stared. Then they both burst out laughing. β€˜Try again!’ said Max. This time, Mia flipped it just right.

Soon there was a tall stack of pancakes. They added sweet syrup, juicy strawberries and a big blob of cream. β€˜Perfect,’ sighed Mia. And that was the last thing either of them said for a long, delicious while.
