Ollie Flips a Pancake
Ollie tries to flip a pancake, and it lands in a very surprising place.
It was Pancake Day. Ollie mixed flour, eggs and milk in a big bowl. Pip the panda stirred. The batter was smooth and creamy. ‘Time to cook!’ said Ollie.
Ollie poured batter into the pan. Sizzle! It turned golden. ‘Now for the flip,’ he said proudly. He gave the pan a big toss. WHOOSH! The pancake flew up, up, up.
And it landed on the ceiling fan! Splat! Pip stared. Ollie stared. Then they both burst out laughing. ‘Try again!’ said Pip. This time, Ollie flipped it just right.
Soon there was a tall stack of pancakes. They added sweet syrup, juicy strawberries and a big blob of cream. ‘Perfect,’ sighed Ollie. And that was the last thing either of them said for a long, delicious while.
