Roar, Faye, Roar!
Faye has a tiny voice. One day, it turns out to be just the right size.
In the jungle, everyone had a big voice. Leo the zebra could roar. Percy the parrot could screech. But Faye the frog could only make a tweet.
βSpeak up!β said everyone. Faye tried and tried, but only a tweet came out. Faye felt sad. βI wish I had a big voice,β she said. Leo gave Faye a hug. βYou are perfect as you are,β he said.
That night, a storm rolled in. Thunder boomed and rain poured. Baby Percy was lost in the thick leaves. All the big voices called, but the thunder drowned them out.
Faye listened. Between thunder claps, she heard a faint cry. It was high and thin, the kind of sound that big voices couldnβt hear. Faye called back with a tweet. And Percy heard it.
Following the tiny sound, Percy found the way home. Everyone cheered. βOnly Faye could make a sound that carries through the storm!β said Leo. Faye grinned.
