Where Is Nate?

Nate the octopus is the best hider in the sea. Can anybody find him?

Nate the octopus could do a clever trick. He could change colour to match anything! Today, he wanted to play hide-and-seek with Cleo and Flo.

β€˜One, two, three, four, five,’ counted Cleo, covering his eyes. Nate wriggled away through the water. He swam to the yellow sand. And he turned yellow! His arms and body blended in.

Cleo opened his eyes. β€˜Ready or not, here I come!’ Cleo swam over the sandy bed. β€˜Are you under this shell? No.’ Cleo looked behind the rock. β€˜No.’ Cleo looked inside a bottle. β€˜No.’

Flo looked up and down. β€˜Where could Nate be?’ Flo wondered. They looked all over the sea. Nothing. They looked a second time. Nothing. They were completely stumped.

Then Cleo giggled. β€˜I can see two eyes!’ Two big eyes were peeking out from the yellow sand, and they were blinking. Nate burst out laughing, turned back to normal, and everyone cheered.

β€˜Your turn to hide!’ said Nate. And so they played again and again, until the water grew dark. They went home with tired fins and happy hearts, and all dreamed of colourful sea games.
