Zara at the Seaside
Zara builds a sandcastle, and the tide comes in. Oh no! Or maybe, oh yes!
It was a hot, sunny day at the beach. Zara had a bucket and spade, and a big idea: to build the tallest sandcastle in the world. Finn the fox said, โIโll help!โ
They dug and piled and patted. They built towers, walls and a moat. They decorated the top with shells. Kit the crab peeked out of the waves and clapped a claw. โSplendid!โ
But slowly, slowly, the sea crept closer. Swish, swish. A little wave touched the moat. A bigger wave touched the wall. โOh no!โ cried Zara. โThe tide is coming in!โ
Whoosh! The water washed over the castle, and it melted into smooth sand. Zara stared. Then she laughed. โWeโll build another one tomorrow,โ she said. Kit nodded. โThe sea will always bring more sand.โ
The sun set, red and gold. Zara sat on the sand, tired and happy. โMaking it was the best bit,โ she said. And Finn agreed.
