Bruno’s Picnic That Blew Away

A big gust of wind takes the picnic away. Can the friends catch it?

It was a lovely sunny day, and Bruno the lamb, Daisy the deer and Rani the rabbit were having a picnic. They had cupcakes with pink icing!

But then, WHOOSH! A big gust of wind blew across the meadow. The picnic blanket flew up, up, up, and away went cupcakes with pink icing!

β€˜Stop!’ cried Bruno. The friends ran after the picnic. They ran over the hill. They ran around the pond. They ran under the big old tree.

Daisy jumped and missed. Rani leapt and landed in a bush. Bruno tripped over a log and rolled down the hill, giggling all the way.

Finally, the wind stopped. The picnic blanket drifted down onto the top of the hill, and landed with a soft flop. There was only a little bit left, with grass all over it.

β€˜It’s a bit squished,’ said Rani. β€˜And a bit leafy,’ said Daisy. β€˜But it’s still delicious!’ laughed Bruno. They shared every crumb together as the sun went down.
