The Royal Tea Party of Ivy
A dragon knocks at the castle door. Ivy decides to be kind and invite it in for tea.
Knock, knock, KNOCK! Someone was at the castle door. Priya the cow peeped through the window and gasped. βA dragon!β she cried. βEveryone hide!β
But Ivy was the bravest and kindest in the castle. She walked right up to the door and opened it. There stood Daisy the dragon, holding a tiny bunch of flowers. βHello,β said Daisy shyly. βIs it teatime?β
βOh!β said Ivy. βIt is exactly teatime. Please come in.β Priya nearly fainted, but Ivy led Daisy into the great hall and set the table with jam tarts and mint tea.
Oh dear, Daisy was a very big guest! Her tail knocked over a chair. Her sneeze blew out all the candles. But Daisy said sorry every time, and Ivy only laughed.
At last, Priya crept in. βI thought dragons were scary,β she said. βThis one is just lonely,β said Ivy. Priya sat down and took a jam tarts. Soon the three of them were chatting like old friends.
When the stars came out, Daisy stood up. βThank you for the loveliest tea ever,β she said. βCome back anytime,β said Ivy. And every Friday after that, the dragon came to tea.
