Stan and the Great Big ACHOO
Stan has a tickly nose. When the sneeze finally comes, it’s the biggest sneeze ever!
Stan the squirrel was walking through the meadow when a ticklish whisker floated right under his nose. Tickle, tickle, tickle. Stan’s nose twitched. ‘Oh no,’ he said.
‘A... A... A...’ said Stan. Tilly the turtle and Kit the kitten looked up. ‘A... A... A...’ said Stan, wobbling. ‘Is Stan going to sneeze?’ whispered Tilly.
‘A... A... A... CHOOOOO!’ It was the biggest sneeze in the world. It was so big that all the leaves in the meadow flew up into the air! WHOOSH!
Tilly was blown backwards. Kit spun in a circle like a top. Stan was blown the other way, and landed on his bottom in a muddy puddle. ‘Oof!’ said Stan.
There was a silence. Then Tilly started to giggle. Then Kit giggled. Soon all three were rolling on the grass, laughing so hard that their tummies hurt.
‘Bless you!’ said Tilly. Stan grinned. He wiped his nose and looked at the leaves, fluttering down everywhere. ‘That,’ he said, ‘was the best sneeze ever.’
