The Great Pancake Flip of Max

Max tries to flip a pancake, and it lands in a very surprising place.

It was Pancake Day. Max mixed flour, eggs and milk in a big bowl. Maya the lion stirred. The batter was smooth and creamy. β€˜Time to cook!’ said Max.

Max poured batter into the pan. Sizzle! It turned golden. β€˜Now for the flip,’ he said proudly. He gave the pan a big toss. WHOOSH! The pancake flew up, up, up.

And it landed in the sink! Splat! Maya stared. Max stared. Then they both burst out laughing. β€˜Try again!’ said Maya. This time, Max flipped it just right.

Soon there was a tall stack of pancakes. They added sweet syrup, juicy strawberries and a big blob of cream. β€˜Perfect,’ sighed Max. And that was the last thing either of them said for a long, delicious while.
