Tomas’s Biggest Sneeze in the World
Tomas has a tickly nose. When the sneeze finally comes, it’s the biggest sneeze ever!
Tomas the tiger was walking through the meadow when some dusty pollen floated right under his nose. Tickle, tickle, tickle. Tomas’s nose twitched. ‘Oh no,’ he said.
‘A... A... A...’ said Tomas. Danny the duck and Freya the deer looked up. ‘A... A... A...’ said Tomas, wobbling. ‘Is Tomas going to sneeze?’ whispered Danny.
‘A... A... A... CHOOOOO!’ It was the biggest sneeze in the world. It was so big that all the leaves in the meadow flew up into the air! WHOOSH!
Danny was blown backwards. Freya spun in a circle like a top. Tomas was blown the other way, and landed on his bottom in a muddy puddle. ‘Oof!’ said Tomas.
There was a silence. Then Danny started to giggle. Then Freya giggled. Soon all three were rolling on the grass, laughing so hard that their tummies hurt.
‘Bless you!’ said Danny. Tomas grinned. He wiped his nose and looked at the leaves, fluttering down everywhere. ‘That,’ he said, ‘was the best sneeze ever.’
